Representation at CCMA and Bargaining Councils

As soon as you receive a referral from the CCMA or Bargaining Council, please inform us. We can then schedule a consultation with you in accordance with the referral date of the instructing body.
During the consultation, we will take notes, assess the evidence, manage the possible collection thereof, and take necessary statements from possible witnesses if required.
We also advise on the most likely outcome and any settlement or terms that can be used during negotiations at any pre-conciliation meeting or other informal procedures at the CCMA or Bargaining Council.
If there is no solution, the matter will likely be referred for arbitration. This is a more formal process during which a Commissioner will make a final decision.

Advice and support on disciplinary matters and procedures, Bargaining Council terms, and on all legislations

If you have any questions regarding any of these matters, please contact us to provide the required advice. This will include among other things company policy or disciplinary code. We do the required research in this regard and provide proper advice.

Drafting of required policies, notices, and employment contracts

We can assist you draft any document you may require, for example an Alcohol or Smoking policy. It is important that your company can produce documentation when it comes to employee notices, particularly when it comes to disciplinary actions.

Facilitating and chairing of disciplinary hearings and appeals hearings

Hearings of this nature require independent and objective professionals to chair. We can also provide the initiator if so required. JM Human Resources CC has an office available in Vanderbijlpark.

Union and strike consultation

It can be very stressful when employees are trying to unionize in your workplace. This requires expert guidance on preventing work stoppages and any potential financial losses. Fortunately, unions are regulated. Before any discussions with a union is begun, please come and consult with us in advance.
